Born in Oklahoma and raised in south central Kansas, Bruce Brittain is a singer/songwriter influenced by artists as diverse as Elvis, Buddy Holly, Willie Nelson, Cole Porter, Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Emmy Lou Harris, The Eagles, Lyle Lovett, Norah Jones, The Eagles, Peter Paul and Mary, James Taylor and Guy Clark. His music reflects themes that resonate with adults who have life experiences beyond puppy love and bubble gum. Bruce began performing before the age of twelve and graduated from garage rock to contemporary folk to alternative country and back again.

When not working on his music, he writes fiction and non-fiction books and, using the pen name The 13th Clown, sends out an occasional blog commenting on life’s absurdities. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia with this muse, Mimi Breeden, and an ever-changing cast of pets.
