Just the Other Day
She had that click, click walk of a woman on her way
She could make those heels talk when there was nothin’ left to say
Brooks Brothers wardrobe, an MBA mind
This women, she’d been ready for some time
Now it seems like just the other day
When she first clicked those heels my way
But its been a long, long time
She’s been messing with my mind
And I wouldn’t have it any other way
My history was checkered, of some interest I suppose
Played in southern honky tonks and Texas rodeos
Some formal education then a few years out to sea
She heard me sing in Abilene and drew a bead on me.
